It's happened to all of us in St. Thomas--you go out to start your vehicle, and it won't turn over. A jump start might solve the problem if all that's wrong is an accidental wear-down, but knowing how to recharge your vehicle's battery is an important tool in maintaining your vehicle's performance.

You can buy a vehicle battery charge at an auto parts store or online. Before you plug it in, read the directions, then locate your battery and its terminals. A plus sign will mark the positive terminal, a minus sign the negative. Clamp the charger's red wire to the positive terminal and the black wire to the negative terminal, then plug in the charger. When it's charged, unplug the charger and unclamp the wires, black wire first.
